'Not Your Muse' Inaugural Issue
This inaugural issue of 'Not Your Muse' Magazine highlights art and design by female and non-binary artists in Dundee and surrounding areas. The publication stems from my dissertation proposal, which investigates the lack of representation in the arts. Inspired by the activist methods of the Suffragettes and the bold ethos of the Riot Grrrl Movement, the project aims to educate and spark dialogue around these issues. It also features a bespoke handmade font, reinforcing the magazine's bold and unapologetic tone. The magazine includes postcards showcasing featured artists' work, a badge, and a poster encouraging readers to spread awareness of both the publication and the issues it addresses.
